First entry

This week we are continuing our discussion on Online Communications. We’re focusing on Blogs and Wikis. We’re exploring how these tools can be used in the K-12 classroom. There is quite a few examples and discussions on how Blogs are used (check the links on the right panel to see some), less information on Wikis. I was trying to come up with some creative way to use a Wiki in our ED 491/591 class when I thought why not see what the class comes up with. It’s all new to all of us, so let’s see what 7 minds come up with instead of just one. So our assignment this week is to look at some of the discussions on Wikis and come up with an idea for our class wiki. You can find more info on the use of Wikis in the blog Weblogg-ed, browse through this blog and look closely at the comments and outside links on Wikis. How could you use a Wiki in your own classroom, how could we use a Wiki in this course.
